A final message from Kristy & Sana
Hi everyone,
Wow, it’s been a massive year for us so far. Bit by Bit has sold and before we introduce you to the new owners, we want to take a moment to say a huge thank you. It has been an absolute joy creating Bit by Bit and sharing our passion for low-waste, chemical-free living with you. Your support, loyalty, encouragement, and love for sustainable living have made this journey truly special, and we are so grateful for every one of you.
To our Gisborne customers, we know it will be hard to hear that the Bit by Bit base is leaving Tairāwhiti, but we hope you’ll continue to support the brand from afar through our amazing local stockists. We will truly miss seeing your beautiful faces in store and hearing your words of encouragement. Thank you for being such loyal local legends!
Now, we are delighted to hand over the reins to Cam and Steph Richardson. We have been working closely with them during the transition, and we’re confident that the values, quality, and care you’ve come to know from Bit by Bit will continue to thrive.
So for now, it’s bye from us, and thank you again 💛

Introducing Bit by Bit's New Owners
We are delighted to introduce ourselves as the new custodians of Bit by Bit. Our family — Cam, Steph, and our 12‑year‑old twin daughters, Danielle and Mackenzie — are thrilled to continue the journey of this remarkable brand, building on the strong foundations laid by Kristy and Sana.
We live in the rural community of Uruti, North Taranaki, where we balance family life, small business ownership, and community involvement. As longtime Bit by Bit customers, we’ve always admired the brand’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and thoughtful, low‑waste living. Our backgrounds span consultancy, farming, small business ownership, and hands‑on operational work — experiences that have taught us the value of consistency, reliability, and doing things properly, even when no one is watching.
We want to express our heartfelt thanks to Kristy and Sana for the vision, creativity, and care they have poured into Bit by Bit. They have built something truly special, and we are deeply grateful for their trust in allowing us to continue the journey. We are also fortunate to have their ongoing support throughout the transition.
Gisborne Store Closure:
With the transition of ownership and ultimately a new home base for Bit by Bit, the Gisborne store will be closing. We know this space has been meaningful for many of you Gissy locals, and we want to reassure you that Bit by Bit products will continue to be readily available through our wonderful existing stockists (plenty in Gisborne - Isla and Olive, Oura Day Spa plus the full refill station at Bin Inn Gisborne).
For the Rest of NZ:
• through online ordering
• and, in time, through a growth in further stockists and refilleries across the motu that are aligned with the vision and values of Bit by Bit.
Online Store During Transition:
As we work through the transition, the online store is temporarily closed. Rest assured, we are working hard behind the scenes to get everything set up and running smoothly. We’ll announce the reopening of the website as soon as it’s ready — please keep an eye on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
Our Commitment is Simple:
• to honour the foundations already in place
• to protect the integrity and quality of the products
• to continue the warm, responsive service you’ve come to expect
While we hope for a smooth transition, we’re also realistic — learning new systems and processes may come with the occasional hiccup. Please know that we are committed to transparency, communication, and maintaining the high standards Bit by Bit is known for.
We see Bit by Bit as a long‑term, values‑aligned opportunity where we hope to continue to serve and become a household brand name in communities across Aotearoa. We’re excited to nurture the brand, deepen relationships, and grow sustainably and thoughtfully.
Thank you for being part of the Bit by Bit community. We can’t wait to connect with you.
Warm regards,
Cam, Steph, Danielle and Mackenzie Richardson
